The right candidate will require to be able to set the Building delivery strategy for multi-million £ M&E projects and proactively manage internal and external resources, consultants and supply chain to ascertain safe and compliant (quality, time and cost) distribution.
The main responsibilities for the role will be to:
* Liaise and develop a close working relationship with the MEP, structural and architectural consultants and the client’s professional team to ensure the MEP requirements are implemented in accordance with the client’s instructions. * Review and coordinate design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements * Identify and agree the design deliverables required and ensure effective processes are in place for reporting design progress * Performing and implementing value engineering proposals across designs, effectively developing procurement strategies for subcontractors/suppliers in terms of packaging and scope of works. * Selecting appropriate construction methods and strategies to appropriately vet and secure relevant subcontractors to complete works * Implement the design, procurement, construction & commissioning programmes * Reviewing overall status of the MEP works and reporting on the progress of all MEP aspects of the project to the project directors at contract review meetings and produce monthly MEP dashboards * Looking ahead to identify risks and developing mitigating options in sufficient time so as not to impact the construction site performance * Overseeing that the highest standards of health, safety and quality are considered as a priority through all stages of the project. * Responsible for overseeing the review, initiation and execution of contracts * Monitoring project budgets and programmes; overseeing performance to ensure on time, quality project execution.
