Checking specifications against drawings plans and elevations and current client standards.
Production of costing for all requirements including quantity, unit rate, parts and labour, service needs (electricity, gas water and waste) & other resources.
Production of net cost tender documents for the relevant project.
Attending client meetings to discuss projects, deadlines & tenders.
Discussing tender issues and queries with clients
Discussing with Project Managers and Installation Engineers the work involved on proposed projects.
Arranging handover of all relevant documentation to the Project Management team
Calculation of prices using Estimating software package
You’ll need to have strong communication skills, with a clear telephone manner. It’s important that you are numerate with some previous relevant office based experience and have good knowledge of Word and Excel.
Strong attention to detail it also important in this role plus solid GSCE’s – in Maths and English. If you have a degree or a Business administration qualification as well that would be an advantage.
