About the role
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer working in our Cloud team within the Platforms and Infrastructure profession, you will be responsible for supporting and proactively leading improvements to Cloud, Hardware, and Software infrastructure. This infrastructure underpins our delivery of services to staff across NHS Digital and to our customers that use NHS Digital Services, helping to provide essential healthcare across the country.
In particular you will be working on NHS UK, which has over 12 million hits a week and is one of the largest sites in Europe, and on 111 Online, which has just become live nationwide and is critical in reducing hospital waiting times by allowing patients to access health care digitally. Both critical projects are Cloud based, hosted on Azure using infrastructure as code.
